My computer is at the shop, so no pictures, but I just thought I’d give y’all a quick update!
Aliza crawled today! Barely, but she did. Sadly, I missed it because I was at work.
Apparently she only made one move forward…but still, we are proud parents! Also, every time we get her out of bed now she is sitting up! She is getting so big. We even had to move her crib mattress down. It has gone too fast.
Speaking of Aliza, she also gave me some great snuggles today! She is NOT a snuggly girl, so it just melted my heart when she (repeatedly) laid her sweet little head on my chest. I think she was thinking “I love you mama, I’m so glad to see you!” Anyway, it was the first time, and it was precious. I had a tear. So did Betsy, she knows exactly how long I’ve been waiting for that.
By the way, I took Aliza for her 9 month check up on Monday and she is doing great. She is 16lbs 14oz & 27.75inches long. She is in the 16th percentile for her weight, she is so petite! The doctor was very happy with Aliza’s development and even got to enjoy Aliza playing peek-a-boo with her blanket, waving hello, and turning the pages of her story book. I love our new doctor, she is great. She seems super smart and helpful. She even gave us free samples of our formula and coupons too! It was great!
One more thing about Miss Loo, she has started dancing! Shaking her torso back and forth. It is totally adorable! She is cracking us up. Also we took her to pastor Sam’s concert on Sunday and she was waving and “dancing” and “singing” the whole time. Too cute.
OK, so has everyone checked out Betsy’s blog and all those new pictures? What a cute family! I’ve loved looking at all their Disneyland pictures from last week. So fun! They brought Aliza back an adorable pink summer dress! Can’t wait to see her in it. My darling nephew Sean used his own allowance and bought a pack of baby approved Star Wars toys. They are so cute. I love the sight of my girl holding Yoda in one hand and a baby doll in the other. That is so the type of girl I can see her growing up to be… thanks to all the boys in her life!
(Speaking of the boys in her life, her uncle Cam has so kindly taught her to stick out her tongue as a greeting…thanks for that, Cam!)
Our crazy on-going kitchen project is nearing completion… kind of. Scott still needs to install the tile for the flooring, and I still need to come up with some window coverings…but other that, we are soooo close! I’ll post before and after pics as soon as we are done! By the way, I am so impressed with my husband, he is such a dedicated and hard worker. He has put so much time (after work) into this thing…and has done an awesome job. He is the best!
Here is what is new with me…I am on week 8 of marathon (walking) training. The Bellingham Bay Marathon is September 28, 2008. I will be walking with Carmen and Betsy. Monday is our first LONG walk. 10 miles! I am interested to see how our babies will do! Speaking of that, I need a new carrier, badly! That is the only way I can ensure Aliza stays happy, plus I love having her snuggled up against me as we are walking. I am looking into getting a Beco Baby Carrier. They seem great and are really comfortable…anyone use one and like it? I always appreciate tried and tested opinions! I am planning on picking one up from Portable Kid, here in Bellingham. I am just waiting for them to get the new June patterns in!
Also, Carmen and I are starting to “count points” with the weight watchers program. I am committed through the summer, and am hoping to see some positive changes and feel healthier! Hopefully with all the delicious fresh summer food I can survive!
Along those lines, I am going to stop drinking coffee…regularly anyway. Therefore, I am looking for some yummy teas. Any suggestions?
Work has been SUPER slow for me lately, thankfully not for Scott though! I however had had the opportunity to do some trades/barters. In the last few weeks I traded for a photo shoot for Aliza, a facial, highlights and a massage! Woo hoo! If I am not making any money, at least I’m not spending it, right?
I have two weeks left in my study of the Tabernacle, by Beth Moore. It has been an amazing study. I am in awe. By the end of June I’ll be involved in two others. One at the church, about hearing God’s voice, and the other one done partially through Beth’s blog, and partially with a small group of girls. I am so excited to stay in God’s word over the summer and have some accountability!
And last but not least, on Father’s day (June, 15), Aliza, Isaac, Levi and Celeste are getting dedicated at CTK (11:30 service is anyone wants to come watch!) We are so excited that this day has finally come! Long awaited.
Well, I think that is about it. Just an update on the little things going on in our lives. We’d love to hear whats new with you.
